(92+ points) While the 2006 Clos L'Eglise was relatively closed aromatically, it offers a powerful, full-bodied style on the palate that certainly kept me coming back to the glass. With air, more chocolatey dark fruits, earth, and spice notes emerge from the glass. This classic, medium to full-bodied Pomerol has a terrific mid-palate, ripe tannins, and the balance to improve with another handful of years in the cellar and evolve gracefully for over a decade.
