A glass-coating opaque purple, it is more expressive aromatically than the Reserva cuvee revealing wood smoke, pencil lead, spice box, violets, and black cherry. Firm, structured, and extracted, this large-scaled, brawny effort will benefit from 3-5 years of additional cellaring. Drink it from 2012 to 2021. -JSM
