The Mas Blanc 2006 Collioure Cosprons Levants is low-toned throughout with diverse black fruits dark chocolate and roasted meats tinged by crushed stone and iodine. This displays much more obvious tannin than either the 2007 or 2005 as well as lower acidity but there is still an element of freshness lending invigoration to a long finish. I suspect this will have much more to say for itself in a couple of years and have no worry about planning to hold some for 5-7. But it will never I suspect display anything remotely like the charm and elegance of the 2005 or the intrigue of the 2007.
