It offers terrific fruit (black cherries, currants), lots of spice, full-bodied richness and impressive concentration, especially in the vintage. It’s drinking at point today, yet still has plenty of freshness, and I suspect will hold for a decade given its concentration. - Jeb Dunnuck

The nose really leans towards the more savory end of the spectrum with aromas of pepper herbs earth and tar surrounding a core of cherry and blackberry fruit. A big meaty red with gobs of black licorice notes to compliment the dark fruit and spice on the palate and firm tannins that present themselves on the finish. Will easily age another 10-15 years. Enjoy this with food - a classic Provencal stew would be an ideal pairing!
