Aromas of white peach, acacia blossom and lemon waft over the brown spice botrytis. Rich and glossy in texture, with creamy mirabelle fruit tinged by vanilla and cinnamon and driven by extremely vibrant citric acidity. Boasts a tad more depth, balance and length than the auslese #9. - Joel B. Payne

Smooth and lush, with apricot, orange, spice and mineral aromas and flavors. The soft structure suggests enjoying this over the medium term, but its charms can't be denied. Nice length. The bouquet is quite fine, as it offers up notes of white cherries, lime, petrol, plenty of slate, floral tones redolent of irises and an exotic topnote of licorice. On the palate the wine is medium-full and beautifully focused, with a very gentle touch of botrytis, fine framing acids and a lovely, ethereal and soil-driven finish. This wine was sold at 135 € per bottle. (Drink between 2012-2040)
