A highly and seductively scented nose of honeysuckle gingerbread and anise gracefully introduces rich intense and beautifully detailed middle weight flavors that carry a touch of natural sweetness and fine mid-palate concentration all wrapped in an energetic punchy and persistent finish. This is a really pretty wine and while it's not yet as complex as it will probably become with time there is clearly good upside potential here. In sum this is a classic Bienvenue and Girardin is in fact coming closer to his expressed goal of making more terroir transparent wines.

Full-bodied and powerful with lemon cream pineapple mineral and spice aromas and flavors that align with the creamy texture before the structure emerges and freshens the palate. Outstanding yet there's not quite the length for this to really sing. Best from 2010 through 2020. 200 cases imported. –BS

Ripe peach and honey on the nose with exotic apricot and marzipan nuances that almost suggest a bit of botrytis. Fat full superripe and sweet with a dried fruit suggestion in the mouth. An opulent middle palate leads to a long finish that's slightly blurred by alcoholic warmth. I'd want to consume this over the next five years as there would probably be more to lose than to gain by waiting even longer.
