Some riper and extremely creamy red cherry and strawberry fruits on the nose, with vanillin and plenty of pastry, too. The palate has an assertive, fleshy and expressive texture. Poached strawberries and peaches hold long...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, June 2016

Charles Heidsieck's 2006 Brut Rosé (with 10% Pinot Noir red wine) has been launched before the 2005. Disgorged at the end of 2014, the wine offers a delicate and intense wild strawberry flavor with some lovely spicy...

This focused rosé Champagne offers a mousse with the texture of raw silk, which swathes the firm frame in layers of roasted hazelnut, baked peach, toasted brioche and crème de cassis flavors, with a rich and smoky...

This is a pale-colored wine with a finely wrought texture and great fruit. It is tight and mineral on the one hand, but balanced with the crispest red-currant flavors that offer a bright line in acidity. Delicious hints...

Champagne Charles Heidsieck was founded in 1851 by Charles-Camille Heidsieck, an entrepreneur and a visionary. He decided to concentrate on producing and aging wine, leaving the vineyards to the expertise of growers, and purchased forty-seven chalk cellars dating from the 11th century. This labyrinth of underground alcoves and galleries offered ideal conditions for aging and enhancing his wines.

Following his dream of a wider audience for his exceptional wines, Charles left for America in 1852 (at that time a market still untouched by the Champagne trade) and became an ambassador for Champagne and France. He won over the South, including wild Louisiana, and became known as “Champagne Charlie”.

Today, Charles Heidsieck is one of Champagne's premier houses, producing both vintage and non-vintage cuvees. Charles Heidsieck champagne is one of the most recognized by the profession, earning awards, gold medals and trophies over the years.
