Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, March 2008
Fresh and juicy with pear quince vanilla and grapefruit notes matched by lively acidity. Intense and balanced with a candied berry aftertaste. Fine length. Drink now through 2025. 400 cases made. –BS

The nose is exhuberant and ripe-showcasing yellow plum apricot and quince with touches of orange marmalade and botrytis spice for extra complexity. This coats the palate with loads of richness and glycerin where ripe yellow stone fruits dominate followed by walnut oil and a touch of sage to lend a savory edge to the finish. All held together with moderate acids that keep tension. This is drinking wonderfully now and will improve with another 5+ years in bottle.
