The opaque purple-hued 2006 Syrah Garys' Vineyard reveals a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers blackberries forest floor and subtle background oak. Fabulous purity a seamless opulent texture and a full-bodied personality with terrific fruit purity and palate penetration result in a superb California Syrah to enjoy over the next 7-8 years.

Wow this has the same dark purple core color and bright rim (as the Susan's Hill Syrah) but with tons of cracked pepper on the nose surrounded by ripe dark fruit aromas. Black cherry boysenberry and cola mix nicely with crushed flowers and aromatic spices. This is so distinctly 'Syrah' on the nose (perhaps even more so than the Susan's hill). The wine is silky upon entry then fleshes out into a nice long finish replete with well integrated tannins and lingering flavors of tobacco and spice. Lush and big wine that could even use a few years in the cellar
