The 2006 Shiraz â_oBlue Eyed Boyâ__ is predominantly Padthaway fruit. Purple-colored it has an intense aromatic display of smoke violets mulberry blueberry and chocolate. This leads to a full-bodied plush wine with layers of ripe spicy black fruits excellent focus and delineation. The tannins are well-concealed but this wine has enough stuffing to evolve for 6-8 years. Drink it through 2025. Mollydooker (the Australian equivalent of â_oSouthpawâ__â_" both Sparky and Sarah Marquis are left-handed) is the label of the renowned winemaking team of Sparky and Sarah Marquis. This is their second vintage following the schism with The Grateful Palate and the end of their involvement in the hugely successful Marquis Philips project. Total case production is 72000 down from the 120000 cases produced under the Marquis Philips label.
