This is a strong vintage for Bordeaux's dry white wines probably as good or better than 2005. Crisp acidity combined with outstanding concentration and the fact that most of the white grapes were harvested before the rains began in mid-September resulted in an impressive group of wines.

Shows lemon pie with cream and meringue. Full-bodied with a very concentrated palate and loads of fruit. Yet reserved and structured with a long finish. Layered and creamy-textured. Built for aging. Best after 2012. -JS

Restrained but rich nose is currently showing its semillon side with notes of soft citrus fruits and honey. Very sweet ripe and broad; a bit lower-toned than the young 2007 with honey and earth dominating today and the fruit in the background. But this is fat serious and long. 91 points

Nice fresh herbaceous aromas up front with rich toast coming in around bright citrus and hints of ripe banana. The toast continues onto the palate giving a nice rich mouthfeel. Good acidity with lemon and lemon zest dominating the palate. Crisp clean and pure through the finish with hints of pineapple coming in at the end.
