Here the nose is mildly atypical with high-toned and menthol-infused red fruit nose that presently has a touch of volatile acidity though it does not appear to extend to the big-bodied and well muscled flavors that culminate in the classic youthful austerity. This is a serious wine with a reserved personality and my score assumes that the VA will be cleaned up before it's bottled which shouldn't be an issue.
