(35+ year old vines planted in much deeper soil interspersed with lots of graveland aged in 33% new wood). This is riper still but still remains fresh and aromatically intriguing with its layered and highlycomplex yellow orchard fruit and spice nose that complements perfectly the rich full and beautifully concentrated mediumweight flavors brimming with dry extract and an explosive indeed palate staining finish that goes on and on. This is very firmlybuilt and is quite masculine in style though I note that it is by no means an inelegant wine.

This offers weight and power, but also a taut structure underneath. Lemon tart, peach and mineral flavors persist in the dense texture as this remains long on the dry, chalky finish. Best from 2010 through 2016. – BS

Very broad and winning - really rich but with a good undertow of acidity. A really explosive wine = not for classicists. 17.5/20

On the nose the aromas are much fatter with rich tropical fruits and green pear dominating. The wine enters the palate sweet and rich with toasty notes of white peach pear and light pineapple. A solid acid core lends great balance to this wine which finishes long and clean.
