The 2006 is a lovely forest-rich nose of conifer and pine, black tea, black cherry, plums, and sandalwood. The medium-bodied palate here is dense with racy acidity and a core of dark cherry fruits, blood orange, mint, dark chocolate, and very fine-grained tannins softening into a satiny profile. The finish is long and clean, and overall, this is a lovely, compact wine with a good 5-7 years of life to go.
