Winter's 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the few 2006s that outshines its 2007 counterpart. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon primarily sourced from the estate vineyard blended with wine from several other sites it boasts an opaque purple color as well as abundant minerality and notes of burning embers interwoven with black currants blackberries and a hint of barbecue smoke. Full-bodied with impressive texture and length it still has some tannin to shed but it should drink well for 15 or more years.

Firm ripe intense and concentrated focused on a core of earthy currant dried berry mineral sage and herb which are woven together in an intricate way. Ends with chewy yet polished tannins. Best from 2011 through 2017. 582 cases made. -JL
