2 Puffs:Incredibly expressive intense spicy blackberryish slightly jammy and loaded with varietal nuances of pepper and game this wine holds nothing back in its aromas and if not as bold as its 15.0% alcohol might suggest... 2 Puffs:Incredibly expressive intense spicy blackberryish slightly jammy and loaded with varietal nuances of pepper and game this wine holds nothing back in its aromas and if not as bold as its 15.0% alcohol might suggest the wine is also not a shrinking violet and will be right at home with garlic-laden leg roasts of lamb. It has noticeable tannin that firms it up appropriately and it surely will age well for several years. Limited production and/or limited geographic distribution.

A gorgeous perfumed nose of crushed violets and rose petals lifts easily from the glass first. Then black cassis and blackberry fruit are framed with fresh earth pulverize rocks and a classic spicy `garrigue' character reminiscent of the Rhone Valley. Judicious use of new oak completes the complex and persistent aroma and bouquet of this lovely wine. The palate is prime time and delicious showing densely packed black and blue fruits in a stunningly precise manner. The wine does not disappoint and seamlessly expands into a core of blackberry and black cassis fruit with a crescendo of boysenberry fruit in the mid-palate. The texture of this wine is lifted by precise acidity and extraordinarily supple well integrated tannins from the long cool growing season of the Central Coast. The palate shows a wonderful glycerol mouth watering juiciness that pleases the palate and provides a freshness that lifts the palate given the copious amounts of black and blue fruit. This is a classic in the making and should not be missed!
