The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon spent 12 months in 85% French oak 30% new and 15% new American oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color it displays an enticing nose of wood smoke eucalyptus tobacco cassis and black currant. Medium-bodied and elegant it has intense red and black fruit flavors good integration of oak tannin and acidity excellent depth and a lengthy fruit-filled finish. It will evolve for 2-3 years but can be enjoyed now. -Jay Miller
