93+ The 2007 Corton-Charlemagne here was also not chapitalized, and came in at an even thirteen percent alcohol. One barrel out of six was new this year for the wine. The nose is flat out beautiful, as it jumps from the glass in a mélange of orange blossoms, fresh almonds, lemon, a touch of pear, chalky soil tones and beeswax. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and racy, with great focus, fine core of fruit, snappy acids and great length and grip on a finish that seems almost a touch tannic! This will make a wonderful wine with a couple of years bottle age, and with the luck of good corks, should prove to be quite long-lived. (Drink between 2010-2030)
