Revealing a touch of darker gold in its color, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is another blockbuster that continues to shine every time I've opened a bottle. Ripe, decadent and supple, it has boatloads of honeycomb, caramelized citrus, brioche and ripe tropical fruits to go with a gorgeously textured feel on the palate. I suspect it's best consumed over the coming year or two or cellared for 5-6 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

Very ripe, but pure and well-defined, with lush mango, dried pineapple, Jonagold apple and Cavaillon melon notes, all laced with heather honey and brioche hints. The long, creamy finish lets a stony note ripple through... Ripe pear and white peach aromas are complemented by marzipan honey and dried flowers. Sappy pit fruit flavors stain the palate and are firmed by juicy minerals picking up subtle herbal and mineral notes on the back end. Finishes with excellent clarity and cling the honey note repeating. This could handle the richest fish preparations. -Josh Raynolds

Predominately roussanne this is sourced from the 2-3 hectare estate plantings of white varieties. Predominately roussanne this is sourced from the 2-3 hectare estate plantings of white varieties. The 2007 is extremely expressive with a nose of almond pear white nectarine and white chocolate on the nose. These aromas continue onto the palate which is lifted by spicy florals racy salinity and refreshing acidity that combine to make your mouth water immediately begging for more. A seductive racy expression of Chateauneuf du Pape blanc. Screams to be enjoyed immediately yet more than complex and balanced enough to benefit from years of aging. Wow.
