This elegant white is rich and racy full of fruit and mineral elements. Lime butter and toast are the flavors with a touch of the sea. Oak spice and mineral themes continue on the aftertaste. There's lovely balance and harmony. Best from 2012 through 2025. -BS

A strikingly interesting nose features notes of menthol citrus blossom anise and wet stone that are also reflected by the impressively rich and full-bodied flavors that possess ample power and punch on the textured and palate staining finish that does a slow build from the mid-palate to the explosive finish. This is extremely good.

A 2007 Chevalier-Montrachet of which Philippe Colin can boast a whopping five barrels smells sweetly of ripe pear honeysuckle and nutmeg. Rich and silken-textured on the palate yet preserving the same sense of energy and fresh-fruit brightness that made his Demoiselles so convincing this sets up a finishing oscillation of pit fruits citrus and minerals that will lift your spirits even as it seems to eventually waft away. This in no way betrays its (for the vintage) relatively high 13.7% alcohol on the contrary. I would anticipate 8-10 years of fascination and exhilaration from this.
