Matured for 10 months in 30% new and 70% seasoned French oak barriques the 2007 pinot noir gives a medium ruby color and expressive notes of warm red cherries red currants and black raspberries with hints of cinnamon dust allspice and black pepper. Medium bodied and very peppery/fruity in the mouth it is well supported by crisp acid and a medium level of chewy tannins. The finish is long with a slight savory/toastiness coming through.
