WS 90
Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, May 2011
Rock-solid with mocha and fruitcake notes nicely melded into the core of dark fig and black currant paste. Graphite and spice linger through the fleshy finish. Merlot. Best from 2012 through 2016. -JM

Minerality is significant in the aroma, as wet stones and chalk give way to the underlying berry fruit and baking spice. While the minerality carries through to the entry, the fruit is more present than hinted at in the aroma, with the addition of cedar box and Bay Laurel. This wine shows a lot of texture and complexity, and is in a perfect drinking window now that will extend over through 2025.
