Some cassis is present as well. Tannic and structured and possibly as deep as the previous wine this will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and keep for two decades or more. Both are impressive Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignons that are pure rich full-bodied and authoritative. They are among the top Spring Mountain Cabernets I tasted in this vintage.

Blackberry and cassis are displayed on the nose with secondary notes of limestone violet and mint. The tannins are big and firm as expected from a young Spring Mountain cabernet but not overpowering and there is still a pleasant lushness and approachability to the wine. The dark fruit carries through a long high-toned finish and lingers for quite some time on the palate. This is ready to drink now once decanted and it will be even better in another 3-5 years.
