The 2008 Chardonnay Red Point exhibits full-bodied notes of brioche honeysuckle caramelized nectarines and oranges and plenty of lemon zest as well as spice. It is a dense full-bodied beauty to drink over the next 5-8 years. - Robert Parker

This very fine Chardonnay has a stony minerally component like a lick of cold steel. That vibrancy leads to rich pineapple and green apple purée flavors enriched with cinnamon spices toasty oak and creamy lees. It's a complex elegantly dry wine that will pick up bottle nuances over the next 2-3 years. - S.H.

Plump ripe sweet citrus and Gala apple aromas find full support from creamy oak in a nose that is generous and inviting but not ever bombastic or over the top. The wine is full in body supple in texture and nicely balanced and its flavors of Gala apple Meyer lemon and vanilla crème brûlée are very much in the style that is so often found in Sonoma County Chardonnays. A bit of bottle age will deepen it further.
