Here too the wood is not subtle as it fights for center stage with the violet plum cassis and wood spice aromas that introduce extremely rich round and mouth coating big-bodied flavors that display a subtle touch of minerality on the lingering and mouth coating finish. The structure is buried by all of the sap and as such this appears more approachable than it will probably seem once in bottle.
