Perrot-Minot's 2008 Morey-St.-Denis En la Rue de Vergy Vieilles Vignes smells alluringly of nutmeg blond tobacco mocha blackberry and cassis along with a Morey-typical intimation of herbal concentrate that becomes more pronounced - and slightly bitter - on the palate. There is a welcome hint of primary juiciness in the finish though not the textural polish of the marginally less complex village Gevrey. Follow it for at least 6-8 years. -DS
