IWC 92
Stephen Tanzer's IWC - Stephen Tanzer's IWC, May 2010
Full red. Very ripe expressive aromas of strawberry liqueur griotte cherry and raspberry jam. Then sappy juicy and intense in the mouth with pungent dark berry flavors complicated by spices smoke and intriguing soil... Full red. Very ripe expressive aromas of strawberry liqueur griotte cherry and raspberry jam. Then sappy juicy and intense in the mouth with pungent dark berry flavors complicated by spices smoke and intriguing soil tones. For all its sweetness of fruit this pinot is classically dry in an Old World way. Winemaker Morlet used only 25% new oak for his pinots in 2008.

The limited production 2008 Pinot Noirs are slightly leaner and less intense than the 2007s.
