The 2008 Petite Sirah has a wickedly opaque blue/purple color and a tight but promising nose of acacia flowers blueberries and blackberries. In the mouth it is still grapey tasting more like a barrel sample than a finished wine. It shows surprisingly sweet tannins for a Petite Sirah but is actually very civilized. This wine should become more drinkable in 5 years and last for 20 or more. 91+ -Robert Parker

High-toned fruity and rich but not over the top with dark berry and chocolate flavors dominating. This has none of the chalkiness or dryness of many petite sirahs; in fact in texture it's more syrah-like. Finishes round rich palate-saturating and long with fairly light tannins. This is the last vintage for this bottling says Foley.
