A moderately light (in colour) Pinot Noir that's not lacking in power or complexity. Supremely elegant wine with a seamless silken texture and very lengthy finish. Rich warming (alcohol is 14.3%) and very classy red.

Pale ruby colored the 2008 Pinot Noir gives pronounced notes of warm strawberries and cranberries going earthy/gamey with supporting aromas of underbrush smoked duck truffles and wet stones. Medium to full bodied there is a lot of poise on the palate with a good backbone of high acid and a medium level of very fine silt-like tannins. There's plenty of berry and earth flavors layering the long finish. It's good now and should continue to develop and drink to 2016. -LPB

Medium deep burgundy color slightly translucent towards the rim. With vibrant aromas of spice fresh earth and cherry infused fruit the bouquet swells open with air as it constantly gains intensity and reveals new facets-the most interesting being the scent of chalk driven by the estate's limestone soils. The medium-bodied flavors understated at first gain intensity and breadth to become layered and complex. An effortless sense of weight here continues on towards a fully-flavored finish. More ethereal than the powerfully concentrated 2007 expect this to be at its best in 6-8 years.
