Wine Enthusiast, December 2016

This ripe wine with its red fruits and well-balanced texture is beautifully ready to drink, with just the right crisp acidity to balance the soft richness. There is no sign yet of maturity, the fruit from this great...

jamessuckling.com, October 2017

Some dried rose-like flowers as well as an array of red and darker cherry fruit aromas and flavors. Quiet, fleshy and bold, the structure and acidity of the vintage carries it perfectly. Pastry-like finish. Drink now. -...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, June 2018

Wine Spectator, November 2016

Flavors of strawberries and cream, singed orange peel and macaroon are layered on the finely meshed frame of this rich rosé Champagne, kept lithe and focused by bright acidity. Long and minerally on the elegant finish...

Pol Roger is one of the oldest and most-distinguished luxury Champagne firms. Based in the heart of Epernay, it was established in 1849 and remains one of the few family-owned, grande-marquee Champagne houses. Five generations have remained loyal to the firm’s essential values of excellence and independence, ensuring that each wine is treated as an impeccable ambassador to their 160 years of history.

Pol Roger has carved out one of the most flattering reputations in the select circle of the leading Champagne brands. A personal favorite of Sir Winston Churchill (who has the firm’s top cuvee named after him), Pol Roger champagne has also been the British Royal Family’s choice over the years.

The house grows more than half its grapes on 89 estate hectares and sources the rest from select growers. Their cellars extend below the Avenue de Champagne for over seven kilometers on two levels. The deeper cellar maintains a lower temperature for the wine to develop finer bubbles.

The Pol Roger portfolio includes a vintage brut, a non-vintage brut, a brut nature, a demi sec, a vintage rose, a blanc de blancs and the Sir Winston Churchill prestige cuvee.

The Pol Roger Rose Vintage is based on their Brut Vintage (60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay) to which they add, before the bottling and second fermentation, approximately 15% of still red wine (Pinot Noir) from the best crus of the Montagne de Reims. Produced only in limited quantities, the Brut Rose Vintage is aged 7 years in their cellars before being released onto the market.
