($40) This is taut and pure with a very direct beam of crushed kirsch raspberry and pepper notes laced with floral licorice and mineral hints. Stays mouthwatering and driven on the lengthy finish with the minerality showing through nicely. Drink now through 2023. 4000 cases made.

Bright red. High-pitched aromas of red berries cinnamon and mace enhanced by a suave floral quality and a hint of orange zest. High-pitched aromas of red berries cinnamon and mace enhanced by a suave floral quality and a hint of orange zest. Distinctly energetic and pure accented by lively red fruit flavors and strong mineral spine. Refreshingly brisk on the finish which features tangy red berry and spice notes. This wine shows the best aspects of the vintage. -JR

Fresh and bright the nose is loaded with wild strawberry and raspberry framed by star anise fresh cracked black pepper and underlying baking spices. On the palate it opens with piquant red fruits followed by the cracked pepper and classic garrigue. There are ample tannins-fine grained but persistent-that are rounded and approachable yet able to carry the wine for years to come. Drinking great now this will improve over the next 2-3 and drink well for the following 10.
