Initially restrained this opens to shows plentiful aromas of new saddle leather and cured meat along with precise plum blueberry baking spices and lavender notes. Round and elegant on the palate with well-integrated ripe tannins and grilled meat tar and black cherry flavors plus chalky minerality. Good structure and fresh acidity keep this well-balanced and drinking really nicely. This is developing well and should drink nicely over the next 5+ years.
