Big and bold with currant blackberry and plum fruit backed by espresso smoke and mineral notes in this muscular red. The powerful character is more menacing than alluring but this shows impressive structure and depth... Deep ruby with purple tones. This is what 2009 Pessac is all about with a rich ripe nose full of deep dark red fruit gravel woodspice espresso bean and aromas of white flowers. Bright on entry the palate features chocolate flavors and impeccable balance. Integrated tannins and ample acidity help this flow across the palate driving an impressive over two minutes long finish. This will drink well upon release and will be a joy to follow through 2025.

Sweet smooth and open-knit with red berry and leather flavors complicated by pepper and herbs. This very ripe slightly roasted mouthfilling wine should give early pleasure. Finishes with dusty but essentially easygoing tannins and lingering sweetness.
