Heady and tantalizing aromas of fresh flowers, plum, and blackberry are complemented by black pepper, licorice, and forest floor. The palate is packed with layers of red and black fruit, notes of mocha, and herbs. Great texture makes this fine now after decanting, but ideally this should be enjoyed in another 3-5 years, then followed for the next decade. Serious wine, this first vintage of L'Esperance de Trotanoy is worth seeking out! 500 cases produced.
