James Suckling - jamessuckling.com, February 2012
Deep and rich, with dark chocolate, blueberries and spices. Full body, with velvety tannins and a long, long finish. Very polished and sexy. Very pretty. Best after 2016.

Deliciously ripe and inviting, with a mix of blueberry, fig and plum fruit that bounces along, supported by light toast and tobacco shadings. Fruit and spice meld nicely on the lively finish, where a nice streak of chalk is well-embedded. Drink now through 2017. -JM

The best wine under this moniker that Jean-Luc Thunevin has yet produced, his homage to himself (or is it me?) is a delicious, fruit-forward sleeper of the vintage. Oodles of black currants, kirsch, licorice and spice jump from the glass of this medium-bodied, surprisingly concentrated wine that leaves a substantial tactile impression on the palate. Drink it over the next several years. Bravo!

Intense dark, baked fruits, vanilla, and clove aromas. Really inviting and richly decadent flavors of cherry, kirsch, and dried strawberry, with a touch of well-rounded oak and grape tannins delivering a powerful and lengthy finish. This modern, powerful, and concentrated merlot begs to be enjoyed in the short term, though it will probably be delicious anytime over the next decade.
