Plenty of well-ripened apple-like Chardonnay fruit is in place to balance the ample oak that is to be found at every point here and the two work together to make for a deep and wonderfully rich wine. While a fairly big wine it is also a nicely constructed one with a solid spine of structural acidity warding off any sense of heaviness. It is long and layered and reveals a little more with each sip and it is destined for better if its plentiful pleasures can be ignored for a few years.
