The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur is a relatively big, masculine wine that fills the mouth with gorgeous mid-palate density and expressive, perfumed aromatics. It is elegant and impeccably refined through to the finish, with striking perfume that lingers in the empty glass. This will be a fascinating wine to follow over the coming year. It is a jewel.
