An almost invisible application of oak sets off a similar nose that is if anything slightly riper while complementing the rich round and more obviously concentrated flavors where the mid-palate is denser and the minerality is more evident on the impressively long and mouth coating finish. This ageworthy effort is impressive and I like the overall sense of harmony. - Comments: Sweet spot Outstanding ♥

Dark cherry licorice minerals and earth on the nose and in the mouth. Offers much more palate presence than the Santenots with the cherry fruit nicely framed by smoky saline tones and strong minerality. This backward energetic wine finishes with a serious spine of firm tannins and very good length. Forget this one for at least six or seven years.
