Jadot’s 2009 Batard-Montrachet is rich, layered, sensual and totally beguiling. This is yet another 2009 Jadot white with stunning vibrancy and freshness. A pungent array of pear, green fruit and a hint of the exotic introduces broad-shouldered, suave and seductively textured flavors that are quite expansive with excellent richness if not the concentration of either the other grands crus reviewed here though I do like the depth, balance and good persistence of the relatively dry finish, at least within the context of the 2009 vintage.
