90+ The 2009 Clos de la Commaraine is another of the very elegant young Pommards that I tasted on this trip. The nose is deep, complex and properly youthful, as it offers up scents of cassis, black cherries, dark chocolate, complex soil tones and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, minerally and very long, with a fair bit of chewy tannins, good acids and fine focus and grip on the long and inherently elegant finish. A fine bottle. (Drink between 2020-2060)
