As it almost always is this is notably more elegant with attractive notes of violets red currant and wet stone that also suffuse the supple and moderately earthy middle weight flavors that terminate with a firm dusty and naturally sweet finish. This is already approachable though will certainly benefit from a few years of cellar time.

The 2009 Peuillets is yet again another twist on the 2009 vintage as this is an extremely elegant and pure rendition of the year. The bouquet is deep complex and very classy as it offers up scents of black cherries dark berries chocolate woodsmoke lovely soil tones and a touch of the game to come. On the palate the wine is deep full-bodied and beautifully supple on the attack with a fine core of pure fruit ripe tannins and fine length and grip on the beautifully balanced finish. Classy juice.
