The 2009 Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard is my personal favorite. It offers up an inviting nose of balsam wood, exotic spices, incense, black cherry, and black raspberry. This leads to a velvety-textured, layered, plush, nicely proportioned wine with excellent balance, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. This pure, intense Pinot has the stuffing to evolve for another 1-2 years and will deliver prime drinking from 2012 to 2021.- JSM

Bright ruby. Highly fragrant aromas of black raspberry, sassafras and potpourri, with a hint of musky herbs. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering deep candied red and dark berry flavors, zesty minerality and slow-mounting spiciness. Open-knit and fruit-driven but very fresh, finishing with excellent cling, subtle earthiness and persistent sweetness. -- Josh Raynolds
