The 2009 Nuits St. Georges Les Didiers is a beautiful dense wine loaded with dark red fruit. It shows fabulous persistence through to the generous finish. This is quite powerful and very nicely done. The Didiers purchased wine from the Hospice de Nuits. Lignier does the elevage and bottles the wine unfined and unfiltered. The Didiers is quite a bit different in style from the rest of the Lignier wines with darker fruit and more intense personality but it all works nicely. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.
