The 2009 Clos des Andes has a crisp, fresh bouquet with brambly black fruit, wild heather and black currant pastilles. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded, fleshy entry with black cherries, licorice, white pepper and sage. It is not a million miles away from a northern Rhone in terms of its spiciness. This is very fine and drinking perfectly now. Drink now-2016. - Neal Martin
