The tannic nature of the vintage is beautifully managed and this should be an outstanding wine when it's bottled next year.

Racy acidity runs underneath allowing the gorgeous raspberry cassis and cherry fruit to fan out nicely while extra red licorice and floral notes chime in on the finish. Balanced and pure. Drink now through 2020. 1458... Dark red. High-pitched red berries and blood orange on the nose; picks up floral and spice character with aeration. Lively and precise displaying sweet strawberry and raspberry flavors lifted by tangy acidity. Graceful... Dark red. Fairly light in color there is very little density at the core. Delicate and subtle aromas of soft fruit combine with clean scents of dark cherry and vanilla. The feather-light flavors of fruit are pure and pick up more richness of texture and intriguing complexity on the back palate while the finish is fresh and lingering thanks to refreshing acidity and a small amount of spicy tannin. Drink this over the next ten years though it is very approachable now if you like a lighter-styled Chateauneuf.
