Brooding aromas of dark berries and menthol. Then sexy and savory in the mouth with good verve and nuance to the black raspberry and licorice flavors. Finishes with substantial chewy tannins and good length. Fruit from this Diamond Mountain property previously was sold to David Ramey and Lokoya and still goes to the Napa Valley Reserve.

Classic Napa on the nose with loads of ripe red fruit bursting from the glass. Intense notes of deep red plum cassis mocha French vanilla and blueberry pie filling make up the admirably complex nose. Nicely integrated oak that provides good lift to the fruit. Rich and dense on the palate this flows smoothly from front to back. Terrifically balanced this is a wine you'll want to uncork again and again over the next three years. Finishes with a nice touch of spice. This is what Napa is all about.
