A blend of 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc it offers up aromas of crushed rocks black raspberries black cherries and cassis. An opulent full-bodied St.-Emilion displaying sweeter tannins than normal this impressively endowed pure wine is capable of lasting 20-25 years.

Very alluring, with dense but silky-textured layers of boysenberry, fig and blackberry fruit. As this moves toward the finish, extra briar, toasted wood spice and black licorice notes emerge, lending drive and greater definition, without overshadowing the pure fruit. Best from 2014 through 2024. –JM

The palate is sweet on the entry. Saturated tannins ripe Morello cherries strawberry and vanilla leading to quite an oaky finish. Very seductive but perhaps not quite as cerebral as recent vintages.

Located next to Angelus Beausejour Becot and Beausejour Duffau. The nose shows wonderful aromas of mineral wet stone and spice followed by red fruit pepper smoked meat and truffle. Medium bodied the palate offers big tannins and subtle acidity. The wine needs time but I feel that in another 5-8 years the wine will resolve itself in bottle and get even better.
