Composed of 70% Merlot 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon it offers copious aromas of sweet kirsch liqueur underbrush plums and black cherries. This mineral-laced deep medium to full-bodied moderately tannic broad savory St.-Emilion exhibits more power and depth than past vintages. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.

Lots of dark fruits with intense leather and spices on the nose. Full body with super fine tannins and lovely fruit. Goes on for a long time.

Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, March 2011
Quite ripe but with excellent focus as the crushed blueberry currant and fig fruit shows nice definition and length. There's lots of graphite and licorice notes with a perfumy floral edge. -J.M.

Bright pure and focused this medium-bodied wine exhibits pristine red cherry and red berry flavors lifted by minerals and flowers. The very long smooth finish features lingering strawberry and white pepper nuances hinting at cabernet franc and polished tannins. I never would have guessed this was carrying 15% alcohol.

Wine Enthusiast - Wine Enthusiast, June 2011
The wine seems to have over-ripe fruit giving it an unbalanced feel. It does have weight the tannins offering some structure while it's the acidity that really gives the wine shape.

Made by Stephane Derenoncourt and his team of consultants. Clean black fruit emerges on the nose including blackberry cassis and blueberry. This is a big and juicy wine that still remains precise and fresh on the palate with excellent acidity as well. Should be beautiful over the next 3-8 years.
