This is a beautiful wine that hit 15% natural alcohol from a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Yields were good at 42 hectoliters per hectare. The wine is an exuberant fruit bomb made by proprietress Annabelle Cruse Bardinet. Plenty of depth silky tannins and admirable purity in a rich fleshy succulent style make for a sleeper of the vintage that will no doubt be reasonably priced if past history holds. Drink it over the next decade.
James Suckling - jamessuckling.com, April 2011
I really like the density to this wine with bright and exciting dark fruit and velvety caressing tannins. Long long finish. Better than 2009. Tasted twice.
Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, April 2011
Dark and winey with lush almost exotically ripe fig boysenberry and blackberry confiture notes all laced with anise and espresso notes that hang on the finish. An extroverted style but has balance. -J.M.
Jeff Leve - TheWineCellarInsider.com, April 2011
Deep colored mineral driven licorice jammy berry spice and sweet black cherry open to a rich plush round deep wine. This is a big step up for Annabelle Cruse. It's the best Corbin I have ever tasted.
