The balance is Merlot. A magical wine, the dense purple-colored 2010 exhibits notes of incense, camphor, blueberries, blackberries and spring flowers. With sweet tannin, medium to full body and the high percentage of Cabernet Franc, it should put on additional weight and provide plenty of pleasure over 10-15 years. It is a stunning example of what heights Cabernet Franc can achieve in St.-Emilion.

Lots of bright berry and mineral aromas, with flower too. Full throttle, with lots of roses and blueberries and a long, long finish. Extracted but interesting.

The wine reached reached 14.58% alcohol with a pH 3.8. A deep purple color leads into a licorice, floral, oak, and spicy blackberry perfume, plush textures and a finish that offers oak, coco and black cherries. About 1,000 cases were produced of this unique St. Emilion.

The nose offers ripe plum, cassis and graphite mixed with vanilla, mocha and minerals. Full bodied and super modern on the palate, the mid palate provides round tannins that are well integrated with the acidity and alcohol level. The flagship estate from garagiste Jonathan Maltus finishes smooth and complete. Best from 2018-2030.
